DAY 14
Halfway Hamburger Day
Caught a bird (?) Made burgers veg and meat. Freezer defrosted. Hand held still not sorted but Peter still on it. To no avail. In the absence of anything else to fuck up, decision to raise the cruising chute...one hour later, you find me lying on my bed pretending to be asleep. I wish.
Honestly this is not sailing.
Two book ideas on the go: Come Dine at Sea (c) Agnes Wilkie Inc and The Mysterious Life and Death of James Savage. Can you tell I’m a bit bored? Midnight strikes and with it catastrophe. Apparently our head Sail has gone overboard and is floating in the water. But hey the mast hasnt fallen down - always look on the bright side. Again. Brian and Andy on watch with Ed just up to take over from B. They think it's shackle failure but all they can do in the dark is manage to get the sail safely back on board then pass a sleepless night pondering possibilities. Once again I turn to God for help and guidance. I wish everyone else would do the same...this a real test not just an awfully big adventure and now we all have to dig deep. Freezer's working again though.
