DAY 24
The last one. Oo-er. So so so excited. Engine on steady progress. Sailors sorry me not so. Today's big drama is no fridge/freezer - had to happen, I suppose, so alerted Louise to bring ice to pontoon and praying enough cold left in freezer to bring champagne to acceptable temp. Meanwhile the boys are stressing over pickling (?) the water maker...I made scrambled eggs and bacon with the last of Andy's toast for lunch after breakfast croissants and - wait for it, made chocolate chip muffins for tea - we're hoping to get into Rodney Bay by 6.30om so chips for dinner happy happy days. Nothing can go wrong now, with 10 miles to go, right?????
PS it's 90F out here at sea, it's not just the butter that's melting. Coke still cold. All is well. Just remains dilemma to spray or not to spray....
1820 we passed the finish line - huge welcoming party to meet us. AHEAD OF EVA. We are so so so lucky.
