Ann
After sustaining wind gusts of 40 knots off Grand Piton, we decided to move the boat yesterday! We powered 12 miles north to lovely Marigot Bay, one that James Michener has dubbed 'one of the prettiest in the Caribbean'. We anchored outside, but the winds were so gusty that we actually popped the anchor and succumbed to the nice boat boy and a mooring! There ia a lovely beach and lagoon that we will move into today as it is going to blow, so this will be our 'hang out address' for the next few days. Lots of shore activities, laundry (!) and an opportunity to sort out the boat and clean. Listening on the SSB and talking to Chris Parker, the weather guru, this seems to be what everyone is doing, so I'm sure we will come up with a few more friends. Sounds like Spring has sprung at home, so I'm not feeling so badly telling you all of this! More later...
