Yea team! We got 2nd in our class yesterday which we thought was pretty good concidering that we only had our cruising jib and 8 year old sails and the competition has a big 120 genoa and a new mainsail! Great friends, so it was all in good sport. The Easter Regatta is a four day event with different races each day. Today is the 'around the island' race and the local fishing boats (double ender whaling boats) will be added to the fleet so it should be a colorful event. Fun and games ashore each evening with great music and free rum and beer...(nothing like having Mt Gay and Heineken as the race sponsors!); must keep your head about you for the next day! Light air conditions seem to be the weather pattern for the moment, so we play the sails with our expert crew members, John and Chris Lytle, OCC friends and their friend Derek, who is a 63 year old giselle on the foredeck!
