Sailing Cozumel to Punta Allen, Bahia De La Ascension
Rebecca Childress
04/29/2008, Cozumel Mexico

Short and sweet. Patrick is asleep after a nice Mexican dinner aboard of Steak, Fresh warm tortilla from La Tortilleria a few hours ago, Peppers, Onions and Steak on the grill. Homemade Guacamole, SOur cream, and fresh tomatoes that I forgot to wash. After a nice say of sailing down the coast in search of an anchorage not on the charts, we anchored in 17 feet of clear water, and went snorkelling and swimming. We are about to set sail, in the next hour- taking advantage of an internet connection for a few more minutes. We will sail the 50 miles overnight so we are sure to arrive at these reefs at Punta Allen in daylight. Then we will navigate those reefs. do a little fishing and snorkelling and then pass out for the day Im sure. Not much wind tonight - wish it would pick up - don't want to motor. Will probably turn around and anchor if we get out ther and there is truly no wind. Its suppose to be 10 knots...we will see!

AT THE END Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride! And I still have my Arizona driver license!! '
