140_7512: We approached the city in on again off again fog. This was taken just after our passage through Hell gate, where we had to move over to let a giant freighter come by us. Minutes after this we were shrouded in pea soup fog. Thank God for AIS!!! Even the freighters were pulling over to the side to wait it out. later that day we heard that the fog in NYC was deadly, and everyone should avoid trying to drive in it. Was that suppose to apply to us too?
