More of the Same

Patty and Joanne
This morning we're about 160 miles from Isla de Culebra, Spanish Virgin

Islands, the port that we're planning to enter is Enseneda Honda, hopefully on

Tuesday. The past few days we've had a mixture of some really great sailing,

and some calm periods, but the wind direction hasn't been favourable, so our

progress has been slower lthan we had hoped. We're trying to reserve the last

few gallons of our 85 gallons of fuel, in case we need it as we arrive. We've

been on port tack the entire way so far, as we have been sailing in a south east

direction, but have just switched to starboard tack this morning due to the

current and forecast winds. The weather has been beautiful and warm the

entire way, 27 degrees C. this morning, water temperature is 28 C. Sailing at

night is beautiful and warm, under the stars with a quarter moon reflecting on

the water.

We've been on a 4 hour watch system between 4pm and 8am, with Patty and

Doug on one watch and Joanne and Rae on the other. We're flexible during the

day, sharing duties and steering. We have only used a third of the 120 gallons

of our available water and we have enjoying great meals, thanks to Patty's

cooking and her planning before we set off. We anticipate the next couple of

days will be slow, with the forcast winds of 5 - 10 knots from the west.

We appreciate, and enjoy your comments!
