Slowly Moving North

19 April 2017 | Annapolis, MD
Rich
We stayed in Oxford for two more days, leaving this morning for a four hour cruise across the bay to Annapolis. Rich spent time Monday catching up on some boat maintenance projects while Hildy spent the day with Bonnie. Monday night we enjoyed a meal at the Tidewater Inn in Easton with friends George and Kathy, who also live in Easton and whom we spent the winter with in a Key West marina seven years ago. Yesterday was sunny and warm and after a morning of boat projects we walked around Oxford admiring the many well kept old houses and touring the Cutts and Case shipyard which has specialized in wooden boat construction and repair for the past 50 years and has an inventory of flawlessly restored classic boats. After a quiet dinner on board we were ready to move on this morning. We are moored in Spa Creek in the center of Annapolis and spent the evening with our friends Bill and Sally at a waterside restaurant looking out at the Wednesday night sailboat races. Our current plan is to stay here until Saturday to enjoy the area and to catch up with more old friends.
