Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day. We spent the afternoon and evening with our friends Bob and Ann who drove here from Fairfax. Bob had command of Sam Rayburn during most of Rich’s XO tour, longer ago than we both cared to remember. Bob gave us a most impressive insider’s tour of the Naval Academy and Annapolis where he was both a student and had lived as a child. We then had a relaxing dinner together at another great local restaurant. Today we spent again walking around and exploring more of Annapolis before having dinner at the Annapolis Yacht Club with our friends Jerry and Joanne who live here and who we last saw when their boat was docked next to Brilliant in Key West for the winter of 2009-10. As you can see our dinghy has been well looked after while we are ashore. We will leave here either tomorrow or Sunday depending on weather.
