The long slow swells persisted today but it was sunnier and they were a bit smaller than yesterday's. We left Atlantic City at 7:30 this morning and were anchored behind Sandy Hook by 5 PM. As we rounded Sandy Hook into the anchorage we could see the Verrazanno Bridge and New York's skyline in the distance. On arrival the temperature was 80 degrees and the anchorage a flat calm - a nice start to the evening followed by a great sunset.
