Water Spout

29 January 2012 | Emerald Bay Marina
We are currently waiting out at the Marina at Emerald Bay as some strong E winds in the 25-30 knot range are expected for the next day or so. This is a good place to stop as it has free wifi, free washers, great showers and is in close proximity to grocery and liquor stores. Unfortunately we just found out that the grocery store is closed and there will be no fresh veggies until Georgetown. Check out the waterspout in the picture, we saw this while on a land trip and it is just about over the marina. Fortunately it dissapated before it got to land.

Vessel Name: Brio
Vessel Make/Model: PDQ Altair
Hailing Port: Easton, MD
Crew: Greg, Maggie
About: Greg and Maggie along with their trusty golden retriever Holly (RIP 2010) have taken off for a small sabbatical to cruise the intracoastal waterway to Florida and the Bahamas. They did this 15 years ago and couldn't wait to do it again...and again...and again.
Extra: Brio is a PDQ Altair (32 ft.) Catamaran. The name is Italian as in the musical notaion "con brio: to play music with enthusiasm and vigor". Although small, Brio has been a wonderful boat for the Chesapeake and now for our new adventures.
