Today we made the 39 nm run to Matagorda Harbor in 8 hours. We were delayed at the Colorado River locks due to barge traffic but the rest of the trip went smoothly. Matagorda Bay was more a moderate chop than the predicted smooth to light chop, and wind was on the nose most of the way. We arrived at the Matagorda Harbor marina early enough to shower and go to the restaurant on-site. The food was good and the servings generous, plus service was excellent.
