One of the sights along the Texas ICW

Today we left the San Bernard River early and proceeded to the Brazos River floodgates. We were a little nervous about that because last time the water was flowing swiftly and there was a lot of debris. But this time (since they had no recent rain) the crossing was easy. There was still a little debris in the ICW on both sides of the river, but was easily avoided. A short delay for 1 barge and we were through. We headed on north through Freeport and decided to spend the night at our old marina, Harborwalk. We spent the evening talking to friends and going out for pizza with my sister (who also brought our mail - thanks, Cindy!).
