Alligator River Marina

Arose this morning to find it was 36 degrees out at 8 am and 46 in the cabin before we turned on the heat. We motored with the jib out down the rest of the river and across the Albemarle Sound. Despite how complicated the waterway guide made the entrance to the Alligator River sound we navigated the winding entrance with no problem. About 5 miles later we turned into the Alligator River Marina in Columbia, NC and spent the afternoon in our sunny, 64 degree cockpit enclosure with a glass of wine. Nice little marina with genuine southern hospitality. Our target for tomorrow is Dowry Creek Marina in Belhaven, NC.
