Wow! Beautiful vacation beach!

We moved today about 8 miles, to see a recommended marina and to get closer the inlet for tomorrow’s trip out in the ocean around Miami and into Key Biscayne Bay. We only had four drawbridges to go through and could not get to the new marina before 1pm so it was a nice leisurely trip. The Las Olas Marina is very nice, and only three short blocks to a beautiful ocean beach. All the ocean travel safety gear such as life jackets with harnesses and tethers to attach to the Jacklines strung up both sides of the deck are set up. Jacklines are very strong web straps strung along the deck on each side front to back. If there is any reason to leave the enclosed cockpit you attach the tether on your lifejacket to the Jackline so you are attached to the boat. The life raft and our overboard bag are attached to the deck where they will be easy to access. The ocean at the beach today looked peaceful and should be that way tomorrow as well. Target tomorrow night is a mooring in Dinner Key Marina on Biscayne Bay in South Miami. The Captain. Today, I was thrilled seeing the crowded Ft. Lauderdale beach. It’s vacation for many so the beach was crowded and dozens of people were in the water. We watched sailboats going by underneath the hang gliders and anticipated a great day tomorrow seeing the shore from a different viewpoint. We had a really nice start to the day by having a late breakfast with friends from Cherry Hill. We ended the day with dinner at a restaurant overlooking the beach. Another wonderful day on the water.
