Time to Head North
21 February 2012 | Marathon, Florida
We have been watching the weather and it appears we have a weather window to turn around and start north. We have a diver coming tomorrow morning, Wednesday2/22, to clean the bottom and change the shaft zinc. Assuming the weather looks good when he is done, we plan to depart before noon. First day goal is back to Indian Key state park for a mooring. Then, Thursday2/23, the target is an anchorage just inside Miami's main entrance channel. That will leave a short day Friday 2/24 to get to and inside the inlet at Fort Lauderdale, hopefully to Las Olas Marina. We will post each night if we have cell phone reception. The Captain.
