Day started with 25 plus knot winds a rowdy ocean and as the morning progressed slowed down to the mid teens. But the ocean rocks! Winds have been out of the northeast and sometimes east, which is why we are aiming for the equator and 150 degrees to cross. The weather this am looks like the ITTCZ will be mellow there plus it is a straight shot from where we are now. We're doing around 5 knots with the main stuck in the furler just below the 2nd spreader. Rats! The outhaul line isloose as is the furler line in hopes the wind will pop it out. It does this from time time so not too big of a deal and it gives me something to do after I get a couple of hours sleep. And it's hot down below as I type this, sweat is pouring out from everywhere so this is it for today, maybe I should do these on night watch,duh!
