We just met the 'Rhiannon' folks, Eric and Merry. They had been in the same boatyard in Guaymas as 'Picara' so Mike and Marni were already friends with them. Don and I really liked them both and wished that we had met them alot sooner. As we took off to go south, they turned to go north. Such is the cruising life. The people you meet are so kind and generous. Just when you think you've found someone who could be a lifetime friend it's time to say goodbye. Good luck to you 'Rhiannon', I hope we meet again.

This little guy was flitting very quickly around, I'd walk closer to take a picture and he'd pull back. As I backed away he'd come closer. So I faked back, he came forward and I snapped the picture :) I think it's called a Ghost Crab. If it is, it's kind of unusual for him to be out during the day. They have upright eyes that can see 360 degrees around but they can't see straight up so they are very vulnerable to birds.

We were having such fun with the cow on the beach that we almost walked right by the bird in the lagoon. A great grey heron I think, acting like a statue.

Oh yeah, you live here. On our walk back we had a 'beach cow' sighting. Don tried to herd him along.

Do these look ancient to you? I'm not sure. It was fun looking for and finding them anyway.

As my nephew Adam would say...now there's a chair you wouldn't want to sit on. :) The cave we're looking for is actually visible in this picture just above the chair and just below the top of the cliff. Of course I know this now, but it did take us awhile to locate the trail when we were looking for it. I went around the back side of the hill and found the trail up the ridgeline and then down to the front where the cave is, while Don just scaled the front of the hillside through scrub and cactus to get to the biggest cave we could find. Luckily for him it was the right one.

Walking north of Agua Verde to find the 'Hands' cave.

As we were walking along the beach we saw the footprint of a man in tennis shoes with the big cat's pawprint right on top. That ain't no housecat.
