The last post. We have said goodbye to Craig and Cressi and they have gone down to the South of the island to kite surf.
All together on the boat for a reunion dinner. No guesses for what we had. Janet can’t believe we cooked what we did on the crossing. She was feeling quite sea sick while we sailed a little down the coast and stopped for dinner. To take a good selfie I am going to have to get longer arms. TTFN
Picture I forgot to send yesterday. We have walked into town. I have lost Janet and Katie so just sitting in a coffee shop having a coffee and toast. Today is going to be one on the beach. TTFN
Sorry we were not able to post a photo yesterday. It was late and dark by the time we met up with Janet and Cressi. It was great to sleep in an bed that did not rock and sway and I was asleep as my head hit the pillow. This morning after the rush we were able to get Daal II on the fuel dock. Busy time as topped up with diesel, washed down the outside of the boat, hoovered and cleaned the inside, refilled the water tank and got rid of our rubbish. Boat is now back on anchor and a chance to take a picture after the having the tuna Craig caught yesterday for lunch. TTFN
We dropped anchor at 11:30 and were all swimming by 11:31. The marina does not have any places at the moment so Craig will see what is possible when he goes into register the boat and crew. Currently flying our Barbados and yellow quarantine flags. It feels great to have stopped moving. We are really pleased with our 15 day crossing time as the books quote 16-18. Will see Janet and Cressi later this afternoon. Thought you might like to see the view from our anchorage. TTFN.
Craig has just spotted Barbados through the clouds. Winds 22 knots gusting to 30. It has been a fast run in overnight.
