Once you go through it, you'll find it easier to pick the right dress for your special day. Tips For Choosing The Quinceanera Dress The first thing that you need to do is decide your dress budget ahead of time. Once you know how much you want to spend, it would be easier for you to narrow down your options of shopping places you can visit. Make sure you try on several dresses and not settle on the first one. This will help you to compare both dress designs and costs, so that you can find a reasonable deal on the dress you would like to wear for your Quinceanera. If you're a short-stature girl, you'll certainly want your dress to make you seem tall. It is advisable to avoid dresses with sheaths and those with full length skirts. Instead, go for cap sleeved dresses. Even A-line styles help your body appear elongated. If you happen to own a full-figured body, you need to be extra careful while choosing your quinceanera dress. While playing up your body contours is great, for certain you would not want to draw attention on the problem areas. One of the suggested dress design for girls with such a figure is A-line type. This style will make you look slim. You can also go for an empire waist dress which will help you tactfully conceal your hips and stomach. If your slightly larger buttock is giving you nightmares, do not worry. Pick a quinceanera dress with a nice, full, flowing skirt and go gorgeous. Remember not to fetch a pleated skirt though. A dress which focuses more on the torso is a great idea. Wearing a tight bodice, revealing your shoulders and back is another idea you can go for. Also, even if you go for a plunging neckline, your problem area would be the last thing that your guests would notice. If large busts are what you are worried about, your best bet would be to go off-shoulders. This will keep the emphasis off your chest and you can rest assured for the day. Wish to look curvy? All you have to do is pick a dress made out of a fabric that is heavy. Something like satin or velvet will serve right. Dresses with narrow sleeves, wider bodice and a waist that is gathered will make you look sexy and curvy. Choosing the right color for your dress should not be overlooked. Your dress should complement your complexion, hair as well as eye color. While almost any color looks great on girls with darker complexion, darker shades can make the light complexioned ones look washed out. Do not wear colors that contrast the color of your eyes. If your hair color is medium brown, go for soft reds, blues and green colored dresses. Dark brown or almost black hair goes well with dark colors or muted tones. When you're shopping for your Quinceanera dress, do not forget to purchase the accessories along with it. You need the right pair of footwear, undergarments as well as a clutch or handbag. However, pick the dress first. And make sure your accessories go well with your dress. A slight mismatch can ruin your entire look.

Designing a bridesmaid's dress should compliment the bridal party as well as adhere to the desires of the bride. An ideal bridesmaid dress will have many elements that can be customized for individuals and different clients
1 Dresses Start with a consultation with the bride. The bride is going to design all elements of the wedding party. She may have a very good idea of how she wants the design to look. Consult with her about colors, hem lengths and sleeve lengths. If you are a bride yourself use your own ideas about design and incorporate them into the design.
2 Bridemaid's Choose a fabric for the dresses. The fabric should compliment the dress in question. A thicker fabric such as velvet is more appropriate for a winter or late fall wedding. A thinner fabric should as satin is more appropriate for a spring or summer wedding.
3 Consider the length of the dress. A traditional length for a bridesmaid dress is to mid calve or lower. Longer lengths can compliment a bride's dress. Longer lengths are also more appropriate for a more formal wedding. A shorter dress works well if you are holding the wedding in afternoon or morning.
4 Decide on neckline. Necklines that reveal cleavage are more appropriate for more modern and contemporary weddings. More discrete necklines, those that cover up the neck, may more appropriate for a more traditional wedding day. Decide on the sleeves. You can go sleeveless for a more youthful look or have a long sleeved look for a more demure overall effect. Sleeves should compliment the overall design. Consider cap sleeves, leg of mutton sleeves or elbow length sleeves if possible.
5 Figure out the color you like. Color is an important aspect of any wedding. Chose colors that will compliment the overall theme that you have chosen. Colors should be easily seen as your bridesmaids walk down the aisle in their dresses. Consider bright colors for a winter wedding and pastels for a more summery look. Have the dress made. You can make it yourself if you are skilled seamstress. If you haven't touched a sewing machine since junior high school work with a bridal shop to create the right finished dress. All bridesmaid dresses should be finished with great attention to detail such as beads, lace and flowers. All dresses should also be fitted properly.

If you cannot get professional measurement, we strongly advise that you do not take the measurements yourself. Have someone help you and follow the guidelines below. Purchasing the perfect dress for your quinceanera is one of the most important decisions you will make! Keep in mind that quinceanera gowns are cut very differently then most clothes. This means that the best size for your quinceanera dress will probably be a few sizes larger than your everyday clothes. To ensure accurate measurements we suggest having a professional seamstress measure you. Please remember, gowns are not custom-made. Therefore, you need to order to fit the largest part of the body and take it in where it's too large. Before You Begin: Find a flexible tape measure and make sure you are wearing a good fitting bra and underwear. Be sure to stand up straight with your arms relaxed down by your side. Measuring Your Bust: Measure the bustline around the fullest part of your chest and under your arms. Stand naturally and let your arms rest by the side of your body. Position the measuring tape around the widest part of your back and around your the fullest part of your chest. Make sure you are not pulling the measuring tape too tight or leaving too much slack. Please keep in mind that this measurement usually does NOT to match your bra size. Measuring Your Waist: Measure above your belly button. Put a finger between body and the tape to get a really comfortable fit. Make sure the measuring tape is snug but leave about a finger's width under the tape so it can move. Do not pull the tape tight. Holding in you stomach or wearing excessively baggy clothing will give inaccurate measurements. Measuring Your Hips: Position the measuring tape around the fullest part of your hips. Put your thumbs at your natural waist and rest your hands on your hips. The tip of your fingers should be the area to measure for your hips. Leave a little room by keeping a thumb on the inside of the tape. Do not pull the tape tight. This measurement is not critical for A-line or ball gown styles Quinceanera dresses . Choose A Size: Take your measurements and compare them to the size chart that is listed at the bottom of each category page and on your gown's detail page. Use the closest measurements to choose your You will want to use the size that is the closest to your measurements. If you are falling in between sizes, choose the larger size.
