The French Baker is a real fixture in Barra's cruising community. He delivers freshly baked croissants and baguettes right to your boat via his panga each morning.
When we hear him on the VHF radio, he sounds just like the character "Le Beau" on "Hogan's Heroes".

Fishing boats are tied up at the village of Barra de Navidad. This is a colorful, quaint little town, with one church, no banks, and dozens of little shops and inexpensive restaurants.

Pascale enjoys a chat with Maria, the owner of Maria's Tienda. Maria takes orders for anything you want in the way of groceries, drives to neaby cities to get it if she doesn't have it, and delivers to our boat. She also delivers propane refills and laundry. She's a real gem.
