Halloween in Barra

Pascale and Antoine dressed up for Halloween here in Barra. Pascale put her former movie-makeup-artist skills to good use! The boys Francois and Antoine went trick-or-treating, but it had a different outcome from what they expected. They were inundated by little Mexican kids asking for the candy that they had collected, and by the time the night was over, they had given it all away! (View Post...)

Back in Barra

We flew back to our boat Oct. 20 along with a ton of spare parts and projects. Our plan is to get the boat ready for the next leg of our trip and then head south towards Panama. (Continued...)

Summer Break in California

For the duration of hurricane season (summer), we are home in California. Since we have tenants in our house throughout the month of August, we have gone camping, to our favorite remote lake in the Mendocino National Forest, and now in the Truckee area north of Lake Tahoe. (Continued...)

Pyramids at Mexico City

We flew home July 6, boarding a flight from Manzanillo to Mexico City, with a connection from there to Leon and thence to Oakland CA. The trouble is, we missed our connection in Mexico City. The airline put us up in a hotel for the night and booked us another flight from Mexico city at 6 PM the following evening. (Continued...)
