Chasing the Dream
Playing in the Strait of Georgia

The wind was out of the south and we had no itinerary so we decided to just go with the wind. After heading out we sailed across to the mainland, back to just north of Nanaimo and then back across to Plumper Cove by Gibson's. Lot's of sailing to go not that long a distance. It was like going Hobie Cat sailing.

After breakfast we had another nice downwind sail to Gabriola Pass, a motor through, and a good downwind dash to Nanaimo in 25 knots of wind. A quick stop in the marina for gas and a new gas line connector before going to Mark Bay for the night.

Cruising for a week

My university buddies Rob and Pete came over on the ferry and we went to town to provision and load the boat. We didn't get under way until about three but it was a nice downwind sail to Clam Bay between Thetis and Kuper Islands.

Back in the water

I just looked at the last blog entry. It's been a while. I've been home about a month now so it's time for an update. I had little to do to the boat other than to take the sails in for some work. Not a big deal it just took a while. She is back in the water and I went for a relaxed sail today. It was great to be on the water again. The photo is of Dream Chaser on her mooring at my buddy Scott's house.

Well, it’s water....

Here we are in Utah on April 14. It has been nice with temperatures in the mid-seventies but I guess winter wasn't over. Still beautiful though.

Proof that trimarans are dangerous!

Two young guys in this truck found out how dangerous trimarans are when they drove off the road trying to figure out what Dream Chaser was all about.
