PSA 101

10 July 2014 | the 'Couve
Mark / Just about perfect, again!
PSA 101

The July PSA number is 101: A 57% bump in six weeks. (NOTE: During Chemo, PSA blood work will be done only with every other infusion, or every 6 weeks.) As I've been feeling pretty darn good during chemo, I'd expected a significant drop from June's number of 64. However, studies have shown that in patients that respond favorably to Chemo, about 20% see a PSA rise, before the eventual decline. So for the moment, I'm operating under the theory that what goes up, must come down. I've always been a big fan of gravity!

For more info, please see my 10 July 2014 "Chemo 2" post.

HAIR

I checked the donation numbers with the good people at Fanconi Anemia Research Fund (FARF), the other day. Before I could ask how much my friends and followers had donated, THEY ASKED ME WHEN THE DRIVE WAS SET TO BEGIN!

We'll that can't be good. We're trying to raise $10,000 by month's end. I'm doing my part with the official Donald Trump comb over [see photo above(ignore the goiter that used to be my neck!)].

So, how about you? Please dig into those pockets and make somethin' happen! Hey, it's tax deductible!!!

Remember, the proceeds will be going to my pet charity, the Fanconi Anemia Research Fund, via the Lucky Duck Foundation. Please check out this website, and you'll easily understand why Fanconi has made such an impact me!
