Latest currency to hit the world market is Joe Dollars. Our almost daily trips to the hole in the wall quickly converts US dollars into Joe Dollars. Joe Boatworks can do things we can’t and so has the upper hand. Luckily I could sail the pacific tomorrow (if our engine was fixed) as I’m so well provisioned we’ve had to repaint the waterline. Tony gets the free supermarket bus in at 10.00 and says a prayer to the god of cash machines before giving thanks when he get a payout. He also takes the opportunity of using the loos in the Supermarket, saying that it’s a real treat not to have to look at what he’s been doing for the last five minutes. I on the other hand think pumping the heads is excellent exercise and my upper arms are nicely toned as I alternate arms. It was the left today.
Last week we went for a 3 hour walk around the Jan Thiel lake with new friends Simon and Anita. The 3 hour walk tuned into 4 as we wandered about bewildered wondering which path was out. The walk was just stunning though and Tony has extra exercise for the last hour as he carried the ton of salt that he and Simon hacked off the dry lake. The pic is showing then looking bewildered again as they try to find something that is harder than the salt. We were too late for happy hour but were so thirsty we didn’t care. First time ever I’ve had three beers. Bliddy great they were.
Pic of Tony and Simon checking out which bit of salt looks best.Salt is very heavy. I just wish it was still worth its weight in gold as we could give it to Joe.
