Bloody Bay
24 April 2008 | Negril, Jamaica
Ron
We arrived in Bloody Bay, not scheduled, on Thursday evening, April 24th. We left Montego Bay at 5:30, and half an hour later were greeted with a very large water spout about 2 miles off our port side, heading our way. It missed us, but didn't make for a good start. We were about 12 miles south of Jamaica when our auto pilot malfunctioned, so we opted to return to the west of the Island, anchoring in Bloody Bay. We were able to effect repairs, and headed out early the following morning.
