More Paris
13 September 2007
The first day we get up early and catch the suburban train to the Palace of Versailles, the palace and grounds built mostly by Louis XIV. It is a beautiful Sunday, and when we arrive, there are not many tourists, but as the day goes on many Parisians show up to enjoy the day and the weather on the grounds of Versailles. After that, we spend the rest of the week seeing many of the great sites in Paris, including the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Musee de Orange, Pantheon, Hotel de Invalides, Musee de Orsay, the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triompe, and the Champs Elysees. Each day we get up early and take off walking or catch the Metro to see Paris. We usually return to the apartment late in the day. We use the Paris metro to get around all week
