The Harvest...

Anne worked on the end caps with a copper brush and I used a wooden, kabob skewer to clear the tiny pipes inside the heat exchange. I would estimate that over 50% of the pipes were blocked. Most of the larger pieces were from old zincs and impeller vanes (see image included). Once we completed the cleaning reassembled the parts, Gungor and Diane gave us a lift to Wal-Mart for more coolant and the usual misc. We test ran the engine in gear at the dock for 30 minutes and everything checks out ok. Score one for team Lovett!
Currently we have reassembled and are testing the cooling system. We plan to depart Marco headed south passing Coon Key in route to Indian Key Pass. We hope to anchor around Indian Key and make the 65NM crossing to the Middle Keys tomorrow.
