Hawk Channel Eastward

We departed Boot Key Harbor at high noon. The day was excellent for travel with calm seas and light SE winds. We motor sailed eastward in Hawk Channel under our main and jib to Long Key anchorage just outside of Channel Five. The motor performed well with no electrical or overheating issues. Otto, our auto pilot, took care of the helm for the majority of the trip. This allowed Anne and I to relax and spend some time enjoying the day on the foredeck (see image included).
Arriving at the anchorage late in the afternoon afforded us time in the water. I focused on cleaning C'est la Vie's hull and Anne explored the nearby sea grass beds.
Our current plan is to spend some time in the morning tackling a few final items on the to do list and then weather permitting we will depart for an overnight passage to the Bahamas.
