Little more from Little Harbor

Did we mention the area is also an artist colony? The gallery is adjacent to the bar. And the short boardwalk that leads from the bar to the Atlantic side beach is lined with bronze sculptures created by local artists.
We did actually depart Little Harbor on the June 11th. We sailed back north to Sandy Cay/Pelican Harbor and snorkeled along the reefs. The area is a land and sea park. Fishing is prohibited and the reefs have user friendly small boat mooring balls to prevent anchors from damaging the reefs. We anchored C'est la Vie in Pelican Harbor and took Origami, our dinghy, out to the reefs. We dove off two of the mooring balls. The area has the best reefs we have seen along our trip. The reef structure, much of it still alive and healthy, rises 20+ feet from the sandy sea bed. We observed countless small coral fish and saw some large grouper, jacks, and barracudas.
The holding in Pelican Harbor is poor and the rolling seas off North Bar make life aboard miserable. After snorkeling we continue our travels north to Tahiti Beach.
