Man-O-War Cay

On the afternoon of June 13th we picked up a mooring ball in Man-O-War (MOW) Harbor. We were pleased to be tucked into the tiny harbor as the evenings squalls were violent with wind gusts to 45 knots. The next day was pleasant. Anne and I explored MOW, a developed cay known for its long history of boat building. Anne's family friends the Malm's now live on MOW. Unfortunately during our visit they were out of town, but we walked along the Queen's Highway to find their house. The Queen's Highway is a one sometimes two lane concrete road that is barely large enough for the golf carts that provide the residents transportation. At one point, the narrows, the road traverses that islands narrowest point (see image included) The Atlantic Ocean and the Sea of Abaco are a mere stones throw apart.
