The new main sail won't fold up in t he lazyjack, so I'm up in the bosuns chair helping stuff it in. We have ordered a new system, so hopefullly I won't have to do this every time we sail!

St Martin

We have had a great month moving from Culebra, Spanish Virgin Islands to St Martin. The three of us, including Nula, are now used to the sailing life and having lots of fun. We spent over week at anchor in the US and British Virgins and left Leverick Bay going east for an overnighter to St Martin. The wind and seas were calm, dead on the nose, so we motored for 14 hours and came in to Marigot Bay at dawn. Easy trip. We love the French side of St Martin for the food and supplies, the Dutch side has lots of new cruiser friends, fast internet and businesses. We have ordered new canvas, dinghy arch and solar and wind generator, so we will be around here for a while. Weather has been a bit blowy and rainy this year due to El Nino, so we are tucked in a nice marina for the week in the inside lagoon. When it clears, while we wait for the improvements, we may go over to St Barts and St. Eustatia. Check out the Photo Gallery and see what's up. We love hearing from you all!

Hello from Puerto Rico

Stacy
Greetings everyone! We picked up our new boat in Tortola, BVI on Friday and left the marina on Saturday. It is sparkling 41' sloop and very comfy...we love it! After a nice two day sail with low seas and steady winds, we arrived in Fajardo, Puerto to pick up our dog Nula, who had flown in with us to San Juan, but stayed in a kennel while we picked up the boat in Tortola. She was on our boat "Casamar" five years ago, and when she saw "Chamisa" yesterday she got excited and it seemed like she remembered sailing. She really remembered the beach and headed for the waves right away! We are staying here for provisioning and to wait out an uptick in winds and will leave next week for a short sail over to Viequez island.
