I am an adventurous and seasoned sailor. I have had this dream of being on vacation 24/7 x 365 for a number of years. In 1997 I set sail for Bonavista Nfld from Toronto via the Madeleine Islands and St Pierre Miquelon. [...] After meeting the Matthew and taking part in the 500th anniversary, set sail for Halifax where I left the boat for the winter. Returning in 1998 we set sail again for New York via Cape Cod, then came up the Hudson River to the Eire Canal which joins Lake Ontario... and home. I love the solitude while at anchor, other sailors we have met, and the adventure of finding something new and wonderful over the horizon. I have a philosophy similar to what Richard Bode wrote; " Please don't let me gather dust lying on the shelf of mediocrity or get mired in the forever sloping pit of others expectations, so that I will say on the day of my death, I have never lived'. I already know everything about my fate that I need to know; I will grow old and die. Until then let me raise my sails and billow in the wind " That pretty well sums it up for me.
