Beverly MA to Onset MA

On August 23rd we arrived at the Beverly Yacht Club . We stayed there on one of their moorings for 4 nights. Our sole purpose was to attend our oldest and dearest friends 50th wedding anniversary party in Northampton MA. We had a terrific time celebrating with them and their friends and family.
After leaving Beverly we had a long day straight to the Cape Cod Canal and into Onset, where we stayed for the night. The current and opposing wind increased suddenly while we were transiting the canal, wow what a ride. Turning into the channel for Onset is interesting on a calm day but this was quite wild. Made it in, followed the Bob Norman rule and topped off our fuel and water tanks, then picked up a mooring and settled in for the night. Whew!!! What a long day.
