The Boat Is Loaded! Away We Go!

Chapter Two has been successfully loaded by Sevenstar Yacht Transport Company. While the loading on this end went smoothly, we were frustrated overall with the office based in Florida. Pat would send emails asking questions with no response for a week. He would resend with a read receipt and when it was read, there was still no response. Just the lack of communication from their office and true timeline of actual loading was annoying. But, the company representative in Thailand was awesome, honest, and kept us informed of delays and expectations. As we watched the loading, the support staff were careful and methodical in hoisting her aboard and anchored securely. It was sad to see her leave the water, but we’re happy to see her return to the U.S. so that we can explore the Caribbean and beyond. We left the dock at 10:30 a.m. and was deposited back to the marina with our bags by 2:30 p.m. which is a fairly quick turnaround in the grand scheme of things.
Now, where in the world, shall we go? Pat and I have been discussing where to visit while in this part of the world. When living in Japan, we tried to visit as many countries as possible, but missed a few and are now wanting to check them off the list. Our first stop will be the Maldives which is considered at risk with global warming and the rising tide levels. It is considered one of the best dive spots in the world and want to visit before it’s too late. There are hopes to interact with the locals and possibly the protected marine animals.
After the Maldives, I’m not sure of our next stop. Pat is still researching our options and throwing out suggestions. Once we leave Asia, we don’t think we’ll make time to return for many, many years; simply because we will be exploring other parts of the world on our boat.
Just for fun, I’ll leave you with a few more of “that’s what she said”, because this keeps Pat laughing…
Do we need the lube? (a lubricant for the zippers on the canvas)
It’s too hard… (trying to open a lock)
Is it sticking up? (adjusting the dinghy)
