Boat Work
27 December 2017 | Shelter Bay Marina
Helen
Up early. Listened to the cruisers' net as we ate breakfast. Then worked on the sail repair. We hand stitched the new material with sail repair tape on the other side. Then we hoisted and furled the sail. So from a sail perspective, we are ready to go. We also hand stitched the zippers that ripped from the canvas bimini. We made another repair to the bimini lashings to hold it in place. Attempted to get a 5-gallon jug of diesel filled but the fuel barge was not at the marina. That will happen tomorrow. Researched our missing impellors as they were not delivered and sent email to UPS. Cleaned our boat as we invited our Hawaiian friends over for Happy Hour as they have first hand knowledge of Hawaii. Had a lovely time. We also spent a short time in the pool before showering. Our wifi does not work well at our boat so we are at the cruisers' lounge. There are 5 small children in here, playing with their games. I will be taking the bus ride tomorrow morning and will pick up the last minute food for our transit on Friday/Saturday and the next leg of our journey. Not sure of our route and it may be decided when we get out to sea.
