Early start to get sorted for departure by 9am. Took the Marina Elect plug off and up to the office to pay and clear out - office didn't open until 9am! No problem we'd go for a swim and have a shower. Chris obviously hasn't been working hard enough physically as he thought he'd like to do a few lengths of the olympic pool! Not me, I was quite happy to relax in another pool nearby, so I guess I've been doing enough of the physical stuff!

Tried the Marina office again at 8.45 and struck someone there already, paid a very minimal fee, they didn't ask for our paperwork such as passports, ships papers or insurance certificate so we didn't offer it.

Under way by 9.30 with calm waters and little wind. Had the genoa in and out a few times and ran with just the port engine at a comfortable 6 knots.

Arrived at Tiga Island, a relatively new island, only came up in the 1800s in an earthquake. It apparently is where the first survivor film was made. There are 3 mud volcanoes on the island.

We went ashore to wallow in the mud! It was a short walk only 1.2km through rain forest very similar to Cairns, with monkeys and large goannas.

It was quite difficult to wallow in the mud as we couldn't sink easily, had to work at it, turning and wriggling to sink down! It was a very weird feeling, had to walk bare foot back down the track as we were slipping and sliding too much in our shoes.

Back at the beach straight into the crystal clear tepid water to scrub all the mud off - it took some scrubbing!

Back to Charmar just in time for sunset and before the thunder storm. Heavy rain which was great as it washed the decks and cooled the air tempertare.
