Back to Puteri for a refresher trip. Came from Brisbane to Singapore and across the Causeway last week.

Good clean up to start with but things are quite good apart from the dreaded black streak which is from the rain, smog and Singapore aircraft fuel drop out. No doubt the daily Military Jets don't help much either!

Finally had the boat cover altered and now fits well! Not so many boats here at present as many are heading north. The weather is great although quite windy and the global charts show the jetstream heading down across the top of Australia to join the cyclone in the Coral Sea. The global wind pattern is fascinating as the wind flows all join up around the globe.

More food outlets and bars open at Puteri but is is hard to go past the great Sushi King. Went into Galang Patah markets for great Chinese food on Tuesday night, visited Johor with the Canopy on Monday and road the pushies into Mydin last night where there is a great supermarket with everything, great food and a range of small shops. The supermarket has everything and is super clean, spices, meats, hardware, clothing and every grocery line. A great find for stocking up when the time comes.

Thursday today - polishing day! Wednesday was battery top (a bit of a task) and engine running day - pleased to report everything running well. Electronics all good also, anchor light looked like it might require a trip up the mast but then we found out if we turned it on it worked!!

Great to be back on Board. A few vessel in, a Queenslander with a place in Cairns, some past sailing contacts it is good to catch up with and a vessel from the UK we are going to for Chinese New Year on Friday night.

The sun comes up late as we are to the west of the timeline here and it is quite cool in the morning so sleeping in has become a bad habit. By the time I get up there is already a hundred emails on my screen!
