We skipped summer here this year with one gale after another, but our fall has been fantastic and it is finally calm enough to do some mackeral fishing just out Ballylickey Bay where we live. The mackeral are in and easy to catch. We grill them over carbon vegetal, a type of charcoal from Spain that is hot and lasts forever, within a few hours of catching them. some veggies from the garden and it's a free meal - almost. There is always the wine, although this bottle was given to us by a friend with a B&B that brings over wine by the case from France on the ferry in her car. The big one was our dinner, the two little ones we gave to the Kilroys, our landlord.
