The original Delphi Lodge was just down the valley from Delphi Mountain Resort, where Heather found an Autumn deal too good to pass up, so we packed up the car and headed to Connemara in spite of a forecast of storm force winds and lashing rain. The resort and the area are fabulous. it was hard to leave really. i think its my favorite place in ireland after where we live. (View Post...)

On the way from Galway to Delphi Mountain Resort we pass through a section known as Joyce country, where James Joyce did much of his work. the natural beauty is awe inspiring. the long line down middle of scene, is a stone wall. this is a short well. some going up the steep mountain face must go on for a mile. amazing feat. not sure why, keep sheep out of potatoes, delinate properties... (View Post...)
