less busy-ness

14 March 2013
Things are coming to a head. My to-do list is dwindling. Got confirmation from two of my transient marinas today, just need to get hold of the third. Installed battery box for starting battery a few minutes ago. Things with my soon-to-be old job are almost wrapped up, completed my inventory today and will ship everything back tomorrow.

Weather is still a big question for next week, there's a winter storm rolling down from Canada which is threatening the departure date. The closer we get the more it looks like it might go north, though. We'll see. Tomorrow I'm up early, have topside work to do on the dingy and cabin ports. Ports, my ass. They're windows. Have you ever seen these things? :-)

About:
I got a boat in the first place because cruising is a family thing. I have many, MANY good memories of sailing that involved my uncles, my grandparents, and the good people at VYC. My crew is my family, and anybody else who decides to come along. [...]
Extra: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain
