Foxy's Wooden Boat Regatta
27 May 2007 | Jost Van Dyke, BVI
Chris
On the way to Jost Van Dyke, we graciously ducked an number of port tackers that looked like they were all headed for the same place. On further inspection, I noticed that they were all wooden boats of nice lines and well kept. I figured they might be racing and so ducking port tackers is the right thing to do when not racing.
We anchored in Great Harbor, Jost Van Dyke and shortly thereafter, wooden boats inundated the anchorage donning red Mount Gay Rum caps. Turns out it was the final day of Foxy's 34th Annual Wooden Boat Regatta. We went ashore to Foxy's to watch the award ceremony. It was good time with crews and boats from all over the Caribbean.
