Our New Best Friends

The police found us! We showed them our permit and they asked us if we had seen any crocodiles which previously we had told them we wanted to see. We said we had seen some small ones. They told us places to look for big ones (Rio Cativa). We invited them for a beer on Cisnecito after their patrol (pictured above) and they gave us a fish to eat. It was a good time and they also invited us for a tour of the old Penal Colony in the afternoon which we took them up on. They showed us around the place and gave us some green coconuts to drink. We learned lots about Coiba, its history, and our new friends.

P.S. In case you were wondering those are AK-47s.
