Left for Puerto Vallarta

Julie
We motored back to Bahia Zihuatanejo yesterday morning and after a quick lunch in town, Dick and Susie left for the airport. Forgetting it was Sunday, I had planned to do some laundry, but alas everything was closed. So I ferried Andrew and Chris back and forth with the jerry cans to fill the boat with diesel and then went to the market to pick up some fresh food for our trip. I arrived just in time as the shopkeepers were all closing for the day.

We had a relaxing evening and got up early to get ready to go. We put away the dinghy and at 9am, when the Port Captain was to open, Chris and I took the kayak in to check out. This took about five minutes, then we grabbed some fresh bread from the panaderia and were off.

The wind came up not too long after we left and we had a nice, quick sail until about six o'clock when we finally had to motor. We are headed to Punta Mita, just north of Puerto Vallarta, and are hoping to get there by Wednesday to catch our friends Jill and Matt who are there for the week. They are some of our few friends from home that are very into sailing, so it would be fun to have them out on the boat - especially if we can catch some fish!
