We passed through the Saya de Malha Bank today but we were not able to fish because it was too rough. I was disappointed because the bank looks like it would be really good fishing. It is large shallow bank far offshore with lots of different depths. We sailed through a deep water channel in the middle of it which is about 50 miles long and has lots of current. The waves were large, shortly spaced and tossed us about. We managed to take a couple of breakers over the stern which was a first.

Needless to say neither of us were in much mood to do anything let alone fish. However we did manage to fix the leak in the anchor locker and we sailed another 200+ mile day.
