Port Elizabeth

13 December 2006 | Algoa Yacht Club, Port Elizabeth
Julie
We made it to Port Elizabeth about three this afternoon. The sail was largely uneventful. There was a lot of shipping traffic so we had to be on our toes at all times, but we had three knots of current with us almost all the way, so it was a pretty quick trip.

We are tied up in the Algoa Yacht Club and from what we have seen so far, Port Elizabeth is a nice town. We are off to watch the Weds night races over a sundowner with the five or so other boats that also sailed down from Durban with us.

We're looking for the next window to get us to Cape Town. Our good friend Keri is flying in on the 17th, so we'd like to get there as close to then as possible. But for now, we will enjoy our time here in Port Elizabeth.
