Forro Dancing

In Pipa we met some Argentinian med students on holiday who took us to a somewhat underground forro disco, which is the regional dance style of the Northeast. There was a great live band with all sorts of electric guitars, keyboards, etc. and the entire crowd was dancing. It's a pretty basic dance done with a partner, with two steps to the right and two to the left. We gave it a go and while it was easy to learn the steps, the movements were a whole other story. We had a fun time dancing but rest assured that we were in no danger of being mistaken for locals!
