Preparing for a Squall

Steve (foreground) keeps and eye on the strong squall that is about to blow through the racecourse during the 2nd race. We fortunately held our kite much longer than the other boats and were able to walk by many of them before we finally had to douse it.
We found Steve through the Antigua Sailing Week crew pool. He is a really nice guy and good sailor. Originally form Scotland, he is an engineer on a megayacht currently based in Mallorca, Spain. We definitely under-utilized his sailing talents as our grinder but he was a good team player, invaluable in prepping the boat for the race and preempting sail handling problems on the race course. We look forward to sailing with him again.
