Arrived in San Cristobol
11 April 2005 | Galapagos Islands
Julie
The sail from Panama took six days which was really good time considering the fluky winds. We could see the islands from miles away, but it took several very long hours to make landfall in San Cristobol. We entered Wreck Bay and anchored among some familiar boats from Panama. We were immediately greeted by about 10 sea lions, which we soon came to realize are everywhere on the island.
In the evening we went into the quaint little town and had a fun dinner with some of the other boats.
The first morning here was the usual??"Chris and I sitting in the Port Captain's office, trying to check in. We had cleared out of Panama to Marquesas (not Galapagos), which caused a little bit of hassle, but it worked out in the end.
