DIY- LOCK - Seriously
We made good time across the bay to the boat yard. Before entering the long canal to the yard we did our first ever DIY lock. It was pretty straight forward. Push a button to start the process then after that using a series of pull chains we controlled the opening and closing of the lock. It was kind of a cool experience. We saw dolphin on this last day on the water, which is always a positive sign for me. I still get a surge of excitement when I see them, it hasn’t changed from the first one I saw almost 3 years ago. The yard was ready for us and we drove right into the sling. After a quick pressure wash (the bottom was very clean), we were blocked and now Close Knit sits in her cradle to wait until we can reunite with her again. This boat yard is very friendly and feels already like it was a good choice. We can return to Canada with a good feeling.
